Our PWF4520CBDS is a complete system which protects the carbon block cartridge greatly extending its service life. The transparent housing allow visual inspection of cartridge condition. (1) 4. 5 inch x 20 inch wholehouse opaque water filter with chlorine carbon block cartridge, mounting bracket and spanner wrench. With the pre-filtration in position the absorptive (chlorine / chemical removal) capabilities of the carbon can be exhausted without substantial flow rate reduction. Thus the carbon block cartridge will last the estimated 6 months without premature failure. This filter housing is manufactured from the highest quality NSF listed, FDA grade materials.
